We have validated our server can send to external address via our mailhost, but the application pagegate is unable to do so. Any thoughts as to what the problem could be?

By default, Pagegate uses its internal SMTP engine to directly connect to the MX host of the receiving email address to negotiate the protocol sequence. Based on your log files, these direct DNS requests are being rejected. This could be due to a bad MTA record or no reverse-DNS lookup being available. Instead of having PageGate use its own internal SMTP engine, you may want to tell the program to use your local mail server.

To do so, go into the PageGate Admin and go to the Connectors - Global - SMTP section. Once there, enter your mail server in the the "Relay Server" field and put a check in "Relay All Mail", then left click on Apply.
