As it is not listed in the support area for PageGate, will this application work in a Windows 7 desktop environment? Thanks.

Yes, though to install, you'll need to use the Windows Vista steps since Windows 7 and Windows Vista both use UAC. |

As I'm now able to work this Win7 installation, where might I locate the 'Vista' install information as recommended? When I visit the support site, I cannot locate this needed information. Thanks!

|

After successfully installing PageGate server on Win7 PC, I cannot make changes via Admin (error #3008) and PageGate services fail to run. The Server program is running as WinXP sp3 and program permissions are set for all options. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

That's strange. You shouldn't have to run the PG Server in compatability mode so much as, the first time you run the PageGate server, you have to run it manually by right clicking on the shortcut in the start menu and telling it to run as the Administrator.
After you do that, you can switch the run style to a system service and it should start.
Also, what happens if you right click on the shortcut for the Admin and tell it to Run as Administrator? |

After removing and reinstalling PageGate Server, I now receive the "Unable to create mail folders" error when first opening the PageGate Server as the administrator. After that, I cannot open anything in PageGate until I again remove and reinstall the program. Any ideas?

Hello, Now I receive this error (unable to create mail folders) when using our 'live' PageGate DB' for Win XP (a different PC with PageGate Server 5.0 running). I loaded the backup PageGate DB, but this error continues to show whenever I attempt to login to PageGate Admin. I still can send pages via the PageGate Client. Please let me know how to correct for this mail folder error. Thanks.

Additional information: The email function in PageGate is not used in our installation, so I do not know why this error is even showing itself. Thanks.

FYI, the mail in and mail out folders were missing from the PageGate DB folder. Installed a backed up copy of this folder to restore these two missing folders.
