|
|
Anyone know how to get Pagegate to update the webpaging recipients when I make changes ?
I'm running a Pc on Win XP Pro. It acts as the paging server & has Internet protocol enabled to support the webpaging.
I've had this problem in the past also.
Any changes that are made don't always appear on the webpage.
Thanks, Phil

Are the changes always being made from the Server copy of the PageGate Admin or are some of the changes made on a workstation Admin? |

How do you have the web paging set up? Is it through a group and are you using the guilist template? |

That's a bit odd. All changes propogated from the server to the member list of your ABCD group should show up on the web pages. Now, if you make a change to the recipient alone and don't modify the group in any way, PageGate doesn't republish the information. PageGate republishes the active content on the website when the group is modified, even if it's something like removing someone from the group and adding that member right back into the group. |

Should I try changing a member of ABCD to see what happens ?
This problem has happened before, but I don't remember how we got it going again.

Well, try taking a member out of the group, click on Apply, then add the member right back in and click on Apply. That forces PageGate to republish the website based on the template and member list. |

The only other time I've seen somehting like this was when one of the read/write permissions on the directory hosted in the webserver's folders had gotten screwed up.
Try taking the existing folder that your web paging is based out of and move, delete, or rename it. Then have PageGate republish the site and see if it recreates the directory and HTML files. If it does, see if they have the correct data in them. |

Once again my webgate module is to refreshing after making changes.
Tried renaming abcd folder, adding & deleting members to groups, starting & stopping module, starting & stopping Pagegate, starting & stopping Inetpub, etc.
As noted below, this has happened to me before, but lost track of what we finally figured for a solution ?
Thanks, Phil

Right but... what happened after you renamed the folder? Did it auto-create a new abcd folder that had the index.htm and default.htm files in it? |
