We have an (adhoc) Ad-Hoc User and when we type the id/phone number then click Apply, we get the error "Run-time error '5': Invalid procedure call or argument" and when we click OK button, it closes the NotePager.
How and where I need to look at and fix this?

an "AD-HOC" recipient should NOT have an id/phone number associated with it. The whole purpose of the "Ad-Hoc" system is to pull destination information from the inbound data stream_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Here is what we put in the ad-hoc
Recipient = ad-hoc
Full Name = Ad-Hoc User
ID =
Carrier = LVMPD
Forward To =
Max Chars = 400
Notify Code = 777
Alpha = Checked
GUI = Checked
Ad-Hoc = Checked
Drop non-printable characters = Checked
The Carrier and is correct, but still get the error.

Ok,
I have a few questions:
1) Which version of PageGate re you using?
2) Which interface are you using to create and send messages?
3) I see that you posted the RECIPIENT settings - please also post the CARRIER settings_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Wow! I didn't think there was anyone still running the 3 series. It's probably over ten years old by now. It isn't really supported any more.
I think the first step would be to upgrade to the latest release of the 3 series. You are running 3.11. The last version of the 3 series was 3.7.
You can download the 3.7 installer from:
http://www.notepage.net/download/npnv3.exe
After you download, you can try installing it yourself, or give us a call to help walk you through it.
The update will have to happen on the server, and on all the workstations running the client program. |

Additionally - the carrier phone number is currently "0" - that will cause issues ;-)_________________ Aaron D. Osgood
