|
|
Hello all,
I was wondering if I am the only one having problem to send text message to Page using the SNPP protocol (http://notepager.net/snpp.htm) to BELL.
For 3 days it is not working ok.
This seems to pop up: http://pmcl.net/ but using SNPP with port 444 I can't communicate with it.
I opened a ticket with BELL on that today... but it will take time to have an answer..
So I was wondering if I am the only one.
Thanks

When you're entering the host for the carrier, are you just using pmcl.net or are you putting the http:// in front of it?
The reason I ask is that I was able to telnet into the pmcl host on port 444 without any trouble. |

I do not provide any http:// in it.
But it is really interesting that you can telnet... because from my server I can't...
So this may obviously be the problem.

What happens when you do this:
1) Go to Start - Run.
2) In the Run line, type the following: command
3) In the command prompt, type the following and hit enter:
telnet pmcl.net 444
Let me know what happens when you do that. |

Hello,
Thank you for the fast and useful replies you did.
I would like to say that I contacted BELL. They said to me that recently they change their servers. And this mean that pmcl.net is now with a new IP Address.
The problem on my side was that I was still querying pmcl.net, but our (stupid-but I need to live with it nothing I can do) policy was preventing our servers to query the new IP. So now that we changed that, our server can now query the new IP ADDRESS.
So no problem on your side guys, only that BELL have new servers for pmcl.net and it has a new IP Address.
Thank you again.
This problem is solved.
