Multitech USB GPRS Modem - 3219 error

I've read all the posts but could not get an answer. I have a Multitech GPRS USB modem installed and configured properly, working fine with Hyperterminal on a Win XP SP3 rig, set to COM 8. Using the GSM-AT protocol this is what I get:

If you go into the settings of Connector 1 (PageGate Admin - Connectors - Connector 1 - Settings), what Serial port do you have the connector set to use?
