This line tells me that you are blocked (probably blacklisted)

Also,
It's entirely possible that port 25 may not be open on your network or from your internet service provider. If that's the case, you can't use the "Deliver directly" option in the SMTP setup in NotePager Pro, you have to use the "Deliver through" option and find out what your ISP's relay server is (or your internal relay server if you're on a large LAN).

However, a quick way to see if port 25 is open or closed is to do this:

1) Go to Start - Run
2) Type the following and hit enter: command
3) When the command prompt comes up, type the following and hit enter:

telnet smtpsp.vtext.com 25

If it comes back with a "220" response, that means port 25 is open and the problem may lay elsewhere. If it comes back and says "A connection to the server could not be established on port 25", that means that port 25 is closed and that you use a relay server..

Ozcom,

How could I tell if I was blacklisted?

And when I run telnet either relayed or not it comes back with Could not open connection to host.

Your reply tells me that port 25 is closed on your network. If this PC is not on a network (like a home PC) - it is probably closed at your ISP

Last I checked Port 25 was open. Yes it is at home but it is on a Neighborhood Network that I setup.

Well, you wrote "And when I run telnet either relayed or not it comes back with Could not open connection to host." and that you're sure port 25 is open. Perhaps your antivirus software is not allowing the message out (SMTP is, after all, an Email protocol)

I re-opened port 25 and tried again with the same results.

Okay, a couple of things... from your transaction log that you originally posted, you're not trying to deliver the messages directly to T-Mobile, so you're not getting the rejection notice from T-Mobile. What you are trying to do is send messages through this mail server: pop.franksrails.com

Now, I'm not familiar with your Internet Service Provider or how you have your network configured but that looks to be your POP server, not your SMTP server. POP servers never accepted SMTP traffic, it's not what they were designed for.

So, my first recommendation would either be to switch the program to deliver messages directly to the destination server or find out what the SMTP server setting is and use that.

Also, you don't have anything entered for a sender's name, which will also cause the messages to get rejected. If you go (in the PageGate Client) under File - Setup, make sure you have something entered there.

I'm not trying to send to T-Mobile but AT&T/Cingular (They are one in the same) and Verizon.

franksrails.com is my website hosted off freeservers.com which i pay alot of money to keep up and running.

I tried direct delievery and got the same results.

Frank,

My best recommendation would be to contact whoever your hosting company is and ask them these questions:

1) What is my OUTGOING SMTP server?

2) Does it require authentication?

3) If it does require authentication, specifically what username and password should I use to authenticate with?

Once you have that information, email me at support at notepage dot com and let me know and we'll figure it out from there.
