Could you please tell me which modem you would recommend?
I have tried USRobotics 56 external and that thing even after updating the drivers wouldn't reset. Same thing happened with Gtw V.92 Voicemodem.

Was the external modem you were using serial or USB? My best recommendation would be the external US Robotics Sportser 33.6 Serial modem. |

It was a External / serial.

And what settings would you choose for that specific modem?

Well, the connection settings are more carrier based... not actually modem based. For the carriers, unless they specify otherwards, you'll want to use 1200 baud, even parity, 7 data bits, and 1 stop bit. |

I am trying to use this work with Orion Solarwind. Is that recommended or are we doing it wrong?

NotePager Pro and PageGate can integrate with Orion, so you aren't doing anything wrong. |
