hi,
i installed notepager on windows 2003 server and attached an usb-modem on the server, then setup usb-to-com driver.
i successfully connected the modem with Super Terminal; however when running the notepage wizard, none modem was found while there was no problem on windows XP.
have any one met such a problem?

There's a test I'd like you to run, please.
The first step is to download this simple Terminal program:
http://www.notepage.net/support/vbterm.zip
After you have it downloaded:
1) Unzip the vbterm.zip file to a directory of your chosing and run the setup.exe file that is unzipped.
2) Once the program is installed, open it.
3) In VBTerm, go to CommPort -> Properties.
4) In the properties, set the port to whatever port your modem uses. The rest of the settings here really don't matter.
5) Go to CommPort and click on Open.
If the doet goes green, type the following and hit enter:
AT
Let me know if the red dot in the Terminal program goes green or if you get a response. |

I have a Multitech MT9234ZBA USB modem. I can call out via Hyper term and your tool. I can run the AT command from Hyper term and I get an OK back. When I run the AT command from your tool I get a runtime error 8020 error reading from comm device. Also Notepager Prod will not detect the modem. Any Help would be great.

Are you trying to use NotePager Pro or PageGate? |

Okay, two things:
One, have you gone to Tools - Settings - General, set the COM port for the device manually, then tried to send a message?
Two, I'm not readily familiar with the device you're using, is it a GSM or a CDMA device? |

This is an Analog modem. I also can not see a way to just make a call. I have attempted to send messages but I just get the message that it can not see the modem. I have tried to pick a com port (3)that is what the modem is seen as connected to. I have tried other ports too just for fun. no luck.

Ok I was able to fix my issue by using a serial modem. Could not get the program to see the USB modem.
