Dear All

In connection wizard in NotePager show:
“NotePager Pro can send message to carrier by using modem or internet connection”
I connect mobile phone to pc by usb cable,
So
Is it possible NotePager Pro connect to carrier via GSMAT protocol and with my mobile phone that connected to pc by usb cable no with modem?

my mobile phone is Nokia 3230 and i can run AT command in hyperterminal with usb connection. also AT+CMGF=1 is ok in this environment.
Thanks.
Mojtaba

Sure, as long as you install the phone into Windows as a modem. Windows has to assign your phone a COM port before NotePager Pro can use it.

After you've done that, all you have to do is open the program and do this:

1) Go to Tools - Settings - Modem.

2) Set the Modem Port to the COM port assigned to your phone.

3) Click on Apply.

To configure a GSM-AT Carrier:

1) Go to Carriers - Add.

2) Name the Carrier: GSM

3) Set the protocol to: GSM-AT

4) Mirror your phone's connection requirements for baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits. If you're unsure what these are, please reference your phone's manual or contact the phone's manufacturer.

5) Click on Apply.

When adding a recipient to use the GSM carrier, use the person's 10 digit cel phone number (no spaces or dashes) as the ID/PIN.

Dear tech support
thanks for your reply

When I change modem port (in Tools - Settings – Modem) and set parameters for baud rate, parity, data bits, and stop bits in GSM-AT protocols same as parameters in hyperterminal , the system can not send message and it show in dialog window that system can not talk with modem,
Although I can communicate in hyperterminal with mobile phone and with same parameters, and can do AT command.
my mobile phone model is Nokia 3230.
Please help me

Regards
Majdi

Did you receive the email I sent earlier today? It has a list of steps for a test I'd like you to run.
