Monitoring WebGate

While setting up WebGate and experimenting with its capabilities, WebGate's behavior can be most easily monitored by using the WG Monitor program. This program is installed along with the WebGate server application. It can be started from the WebGate group in the Windows Start Menu, or by clicking on the pager in you Windows system tray (down by the clock), if the WebGate server is already running. In order for the WG Monitor to receive status information from WebGate's modules, you must first enable its operation in the WG Admin program. In WG Admin, go to 'Logging' and then 'Settings'. Check the box labeled 'Enable WG Monitor'. Now, whenever the WebGate server is running, it will send status and logging information to the WG Monitor program. For more information about the operation of WG Monitor, see the section under the 'Modules' chapter in this manual labeled 'WG Monitor'.
