Integration with Visiplex VNS Terminals

Step 1 — Configure VNS as a Delivery Method

1. Run PG Admin. Right click Carriers, select Add.
2. Specify the following:

   Carrier: VNS
   Protocol: TAP
   Phone Number: [Leave blank for serial/RS-232 or use the terminal's phone number for dial-up]
   Baud Rate: 1200 (default)
   Parity: Even (default)
   Data Bits: 7 (default)
   Stop Bits: 1 (default)
   Init String: direct (for serial/RS-232) or (auto) for dial-up
   Max Chars: 240
3. Click Apply.

Step 2 — Configure the Connector (Serial or Dial-up)

1. Go to Connectors — Connector X — Settings.
2. Set Serial Port to match the RS-232 port or COM port of the modem.
3. For RS-232/serial: check Direct Connect. For dial-up: leave unchecked. Click Apply.

Step 3 — Create Recipients

1. Right click Recipients, select Add.
2. Specify the following:

   Full Name: [Recipient name]
   Type: Normal
   Carrier: VNS
   ID/PIN: The pager ID (e.g. 1035, 8290500, or 7818290500)
   Max Chars: 240
3. Click Apply.
