PageGate supports sending messages through Verizon's Enterprise Messaging Access Gateway (EMAG). We recommend registering for WCTP, SNPP, and SMTP APIs to enable a three-tier failover system.
Step 1 — Add the WCTP Carrier (Primary)
Open the PageGate Admin. Right click Carriers, left click Add.
Specify the following:
Name: EMAG_WCTP
Protocol: WCTP
Host: wctp.emag.vzw.com/wctp/wctp
Port: 443
Max Chars: 160
Go to Carriers — EMAG_WCTP — Advanced. Enter EMAG WCTP API Username and Password.
Go to Carriers — EMAG_WCTP — Template. In Settings enter: StripNonPrintable = True. Click Apply.
Step 2 — Add the SNPP Carrier (Failover)
Right click Carriers, left click Add.
Specify the following:
Name: EMAG_SNPP
Protocol: SNPP
Host: snpp.emag.vzw.com
Port: 444
Max Chars: 160
Go to
Carriers — EMAG_SNPP — Advanced. In
Password, enter username and password separated by a single space.
Example: if username is PGAdmin and password is PageGateRules, enter: PGAdmin PageGateRules
Click Apply.
Step 3 — Add the SMTP Carrier (Final Failover)
Right click Carriers, left click Add.
Specify the following:
Name: EMAG_SMTP
Protocol: SMTP
Carrier Domain: vzvmg.biz
Port: [Port required by your SMTP server]
Max Chars: 160
Go to Carriers — EMAG_SMTP — Advanced. Select Deliver through outgoing mail server. Enter SMTP server address, credentials.
Go to Program — Template. In Settings, set InternetDomain = [your email domain]. Click Apply.
Step 4 — Configure the Failover Chain
Go to Carriers — EMAG_WCTP — Advanced. Set Failover to: EMAG_SNPP. Click Apply.
Go to Carriers — EMAG_SNPP — Advanced. Set Failover to: EMAG_SMTP. Click Apply.
