Integration with Veeam ONE Monitor

PageGate integrates with Veeam ONE Monitor using the GetAscii module. Veeam's alarm response actions can run a custom script to pass notifications to GetAscii's command line interface.

Per Veeam's documentation, the executable must be on the machine running the Veeam ONE Server component. Install PageGate on the Veeam server if possible. If separate, create a shared directory and provide GetAscii's service account with read/write/modify permissions to the UNC path.

Step 1 — Configure the GetAscii Module

  1. Create the integration folder (recommended: c:PageGateDataVeeam).
  2. Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory to the folder.
  3. Check Enabled. Click Apply. Enable for all groups and recipients when prompted.
  4. If using a UNC path: open Windows Services, go to the PageGate GetAscii service properties — Log On tab — and specify a username/password with read, write, and modify permissions for the share.

Step 2 — Configure Veeam Alarm Response Action

Create a Run script alarm response action using this format:

<GetAscii Polling Directory>sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message>
Veeam parameters available: %1 alarm name, %2 affected node, %3 alarm summary, %4 time, %5 alarm status, %6 old alarm status.

Example: c:PageGateDataVeeamsendpage32.exe IT_Alerts VEEAM "%1 %2 %3 %4 %5"
