Integration with USA Alert PeopleFinder II Transmitter

PageGate integrates with USA Alert PeopleFinder II on-site paging solutions using TAP output and can also receive input via the GetTAP module.

Configure PageGate to Output to the USA Alert PeopleFinder II Terminal

Open the PageGate Admin. Go to Connectors — Connector X — Settings.
Any connector can be configured to reference a paging terminal.
Set the Serial Port field to match the COM/Serial port the terminal is plugged in to.
Check Direct Connect. Click Apply.
Right click Carriers, left click Add. Specify the following:
Name: USAlert
Protocol: TAP
Baud Rate: [Mirror the paging terminal's setting]
Parity: [Mirror the paging terminal's setting]
Data Bits: [Mirror the paging terminal's setting]
Stop Bits: [Mirror the paging terminal's setting]
Init String: direct
Click Apply. Configure recipients using the pager's cap code or ID in the ID/PIN field.

Configure PageGate to Receive Input from the USA Alert PeopleFinder II Terminal (GetTAP)

Open the PageGate Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetTAP — Settings.
Set the Serial Port field to match the COM/Serial port the terminal is plugged in to.
Specify Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits, and Stop Bits to mirror the terminal's settings. Set Init String to: direct
Check Enabled. Click Apply. When prompted, enable for all existing groups and recipients.
