Step 1 — Create a Twilio Account
Click Sign Up.
Create your Twilio Account.
Step 2 — Create an Access Key for PageGate to Use
Log in to your Twilio account.
On the left hand side, click Settings, then API Keys.
Click Create new API Key.
In Friendly Name, enter: PageGate
Leave Key Type set to: Standard
Click Create API Key.
Copy the SID and SECRET values — you will need both for PageGate.
Step 3 — Configure Twilio in PageGate
Run PG Admin.
Right click Carriers, select Add.
Specify the following:
Carrier: Twilio
Protocol: HTTPPOST
Host: api.twilio.com/2010-04-01/Accounts/YourAccountSID/Messages
Port: 443
Max Chars: 160
Your account SID is part of the host address — replace YourAccountSID with your actual Twilio Account SID.
Click Apply to add the new delivery method.
Go to Carriers — Twilio — Advanced.
Enter the SID in the Username field.
Enter the SECRET value in the Password field.
Click Apply.
Go to Carriers — Twilio — Template.
Specify the following in the
Text section and click
Apply:
|To|%RecipientId%|
|From|+17818290500 (your Twilio phone number in international format)|
|Body|%Message%|
Step 4 — Create Recipients Tied to the Twilio Delivery Method
Right click Recipients, select Add.
Specify the following:
Full Name: [Name of the recipient]
Recipient: Auto-populated; may only contain alphanumeric characters, underscores and dashes
Type: Normal
Carrier: Twilio
Failover: See Failover Scenarios
ID/PIN: Cell phone number including country code
Correct: 17818290500
Incorrect: 781829500
Max Chars: 160 (PageGate will split longer messages into multiple blocks)
Click Apply.
