Integration with Schneider Electric's Struxureware

PageGate can be easily integrated with Schneider Electric's Struxureware by using PageGate's GetMail interface. GetMail gives PageGate the ability to receive an email and translate that into an SMS, page, update to a web API, etc.

Configure PageGate's GetMail Interface

  1. Right click on the PG Admin shortcut and select Run as Administrator. If prompted by the UAC, allow the process to continue.
  2. Go to Interfaces — GetMail — Settings.
  3. Check Enabled.
  4. PageGate will accept messages addressed to the domain referenced in the Local Domain field.

For example, if PageGate is installed on a system whose internal IP is accessible from the Struxureware system, you could use the internal IP address of the PageGate server in the Local Domain field. You would then address email to PageGate as recipient_or_group@internal_ip (e.g., IT_Alerts@192.168.1.175).

You can also create an email sub-domain and redirect its A and MX records to the PageGate server (e.g., alert.something.com or sms.something.com). Use the domain or sub-domain value in the Local Domain field.
  5. Click Apply. If prompted, you do want this enabled for all of the recipients and groups.
  6. Go to Program — Settings.
  7. Check GetMail in the Run on this Server section.
  8. Click Apply. If prompted for credentials, leave them blank and click Apply again.

Once you have PageGate ready to receive the email, you can configure Struxureware to email alerts to PageGate. To do so, see Schneider Electric's video tutorial: youtube.com/watch?v=xJYXh ↗
