Integration with Spok On-Site Paging

PageGate integrates with Spok on-site paging solutions using TAP output and can also receive input via the GetTAP module.

Configure PageGate to Output to the Spok Terminal

  1. Open PageGate Admin. Go to Connectors — Connector X — Settings.
    Any connector can be configured to reference a paging terminal.
  2. Set Serial Port to match the COM/Serial port the terminal is plugged in to. Check Direct Connect. Click Apply.
  3. Right click Carriers, left click Add. Specify the following:
    Name: SPOK
    Protocol: TAP
    Baud Rate: [Mirror terminal's setting]
    Parity: [Mirror terminal's setting]
    Data Bits: [Mirror terminal's setting]
    Stop Bits: [Mirror terminal's setting]
    Init String: direct
  4. Click Apply. Configure recipients using the pager's cap code or ID in the ID/PIN field.

Configure PageGate to Receive Input from Spok (GetTAP)

  1. Open PageGate Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetTAP — Settings.
  2. Set Serial Port and mirror all port settings from the terminal. Set Init String to: direct
  3. Check Enabled. Click Apply. Enable for all groups and recipients when prompted.
