Each dialer has the option to be dedicated to a single paging carrier. This is used with direct cable connections. This option can also be used if a modem is connected to a phone line with a special phone service that gives beneficial rates, when dialing to a particular carrier. To make a dialer dedicated to a single carrier: in PG Admin, choose the settings option from under the dialer object and then choose a 'Dedicated Carrier' from the drop-down list. In most cases the dedicated carrier setting should be left at (None). This will enable the dialer to send messages out to any carrier that has pending messages.
