PageGate TAP Interface — TAP API

TAP Interface — TAP API

Accept messages via modem or direct serial connection using the TAP protocol

The TAP Interface allows PageGate to function as a TAP receiver or a TAP terminal for any devices and systems that can transmit that protocol, such as a Zetron or Motorola paging terminal as well as a few CAD systems. Messages can be accepted via modem or direct serial connection. Also PageGate can act as a messaging gateway for TAP clients, simplifying setup, logging and providing a single connection for sending messages to a wide variety of carriers.

TAP or Telelocator Application Protocol is a specific designed protocol for paging. The message is sent in a specific format using the TAP protocol.
