Integration with TrapSnap
PageGate integrates with Netic's TrapSnap using the GetAscii module. TrapSnap executes an external program when SNMP traps are received.
Configure GetAscii and TrapSnap
- Create:
c:\PageGateData\Ascii\If PageGate is on a separate server, share the directory and provide GetAscii credentials to access it. - Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory. Check Enabled. Click Apply. Enable for all.
- In TrapSnap, configure the "Logging Traps" function with command line:c:\PageGateData\Ascii\sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message>
Example: c:\PageGateData\Ascii\sendpage32.exe ITDept TrapSnap "IP: %s TrapNumber %n Enterprise %E has entered fault state"
