1)Right click Carriers. 2)Select Add. 3)Select the SMTP protocol. 4)Enter a name in the Carrier field. •Note: The 'Carrier Domain' field can be used to save administrators a bit of configuration work on the recipient side of things. As an example, let's say you need to send to a bunch of addresses all on the same domain - you can put that domain here and you don't need to put it in the recipient settings. To be more specific, let's say you're using a service like IamResponding. You could use iaralerts.com in the 'Carrier Domain' field, that way you can just enter the IAR ID in the recipient settings. If not used, this field should be left blank. 5)In the Port field, select the port and handshaking method required by your SMTP/Email server. 6)In the Max Chars field, enter the maximum number of characters you want to send in a single message. For standard email, set this value to 16000. •Note: The Carrier Max Chars field determines the number of characters that can be received in a single message. If the recipient Max Chars value is set higher than the carrier Max Chars value, PageGate will break up long messages based on the character limitation in the carrier. 7)Click Apply. 8)Go in to the Advanced sub-section of your new carrier. 9)Select Deliver through outgoing mail server. 10) Enter your SMTP server address in the Relay Server field. 11) If your SMTP server requires authentication, enter your authentication credentials in the username and password fields. This will usually be a licensed mailbox on the same domain as the mail server and its' associated password. 12) Click Apply. 13) Go to Program - Template. 14) In the Settings section, you'll need to update this variable: 15) Click Apply. If OAUTH is required, please also go through the OAUTH Configuration steps. Click here for a list of Settings Variables that can be used with SMTP Carriers |
