Implementing GetAscii for Spillman

Without filtering, PageGate will monitor all received information from the API and dispatch any message addressed to an agency code that exists as a recipient or group in PageGate.

 

1)In Windows, create a directory for GetAscii to reference.

Example: c:\PageGateData\ASCII\

2)Run PG Admin.

3)Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings

4)Set 'Polling Directory' to the directory the script resides within. Example: c:\PageGatedata\ASCII\

5)Check 'Enabled' and click Apply.

6)Select 'Yes'

7)Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Files

8)Click Add

9)Specify the following and click Apply, then click Apply again.

Recipient: *

From: CAD

File(s): *.asc

Path: The path to your script.

Example: C:\PageGateData\sp-pg-ps\

File Type: Custom

 

10) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Record

11) Specify the following and click Apply

Start Pattern: *

Start Offset: 0

 

End Pattern: ~

End Offset: 0

 

12) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Recipient

13) Select 'Dynamic Recipient', specify the following and click Apply

Start Pattern: <AgencyCode>

Start Offset: 12

 

End Pattern: </AgencyCode>

End Offset: -13

 

14) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Sender

15) Select 'Static Sender', enter the name 'CAD' and click Apply

16) Go to Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Message

17) Specify the following and click Apply

Start Pattern: *

Start Offset: 0

 

End Pattern: ~

End Offset: 0
