Integration with Johnson Controls Metasys
PageGate can be easily integrated with Johnson Control's Metasys Building Automation System by using PageGate's GetMail interface to receive email notifications from Metasys for distribution as SMS, pages and similar.
Step 1 — Create an Email Sub-domain
Create a sub-domain off your main domain (e.g. paging.example.com) and redirect its MX record to the IP address of the PageGate server.
Step 2 — Configure GetMail
- Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetMail — Settings. Check Enabled.
- Enter your sub-domain in the Local Domain field (e.g.
paging.example.com). - Click Apply. Enable for all groups and recipients when prompted.
Every recipient and group in PageGate becomes a valid email address on the sub-domain. Send to GroupName@paging.example.com to trigger delivery to that group.
