Integration with IBM Tivoli Monitoring

Step 1 — Configure the GetAscii Module

1. Create: c:\PageGateData\Tivoli\ (or a shared network path accessible from both systems).
2. Open PG Admin. Go to Interfaces — GetAscii — Settings. Set Polling Directory. Check Enabled. Click Apply. Enable for all.

Step 2 — Create a Tivoli Situation

1. In the Tivoli Situation Editor, click Create New Situation. Name it SMS_Alert (no spaces or special characters). Set Description, Monitored Application, Attribute Groups, and conditions.
2. On the Distribution tab, specify which systems the situation applies to.
3. On the Action tab, enter in the System Command field:

   cd "c:\PageGateData\Tivoli\" & sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message>

   Example: cd "c:\PageGateData\Tivoli\" & sendpage32.exe IT_Alerts TIVOLI "Error on: [hostname]"

4. Click OK.
