Do the messages show up as 'Bad' in the program or do they get put in the Good category? Also, you mentioned that when you're near the computer, they work, but when you're not not, they don't. Is there anything that you're actively doing when you are in front of the system that could cause NotePager Pro to do anything differently? |

It just stays in the pending area and comes up out the blue hours or even days later. The only thing I can think of is that I use a laptop and use wireless internet to go online. So I was wondering if when I am not connected to the internet is that the problem with it going through.

The message can only be transmitted to the recipient's carrier's terminal when pagegate is connected to the outside world either via internet or via tap modem (depending on how you have the carrier set up)_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Here are the steps for creating an SMTP carrier and setting up a recipient for the SMTP carrier: .
1) Left click on the Carriers menu.
2) Left click on Add.
3) Name the carrier: SMTP
4) Change the Protocol to: SMTP
5) Your Local Domain needs to be set to the latter half of your email address. For example: notepage.com
6) Enter in your Primary DNS into DNS Server 1 and your Secondary DNS into DNS Server 2. If you're not sure what either of these are, please contact your internet service provider and ask them.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Now that the Carrier has been added, left click on Recipients.
2) Left click on Add.
3) You can name the recipient whatever you like.
4) The Type should be normal and change the Carrier to SMTP.
5) In the "Email To" field, enter the email address for the device you're trying to contact. If you're not sure what the device's email address is, we do have a list at http://www.notepage.net/smtp.htm
6) Make sure that Alpha and Drop non-printable characters are cheked.
7) Click on Apply. |
