Database corruption?

We are populating the NotePage message table directly with a VB application that has been working fine until today. Now we are getting the following message in the log:

5/18/05 7:36:12 AM Rebuilding database
5/18/05 7:36:13 AM Restarting
5/18/05 7:36:46 AM Module Started
5/18/05 7:36:47 AM Program Halted. Database error: 3343 Unrecognized database format 'C:\Program Files\PageGate\pagegate.mdb'. in Procedure: main2
5/18/05 7:36:47 AM Rebuilding database
5/18/05 7:36:48 AM Restarting
5/18/05 7:37:21 AM Module Started
5/18/05 7:37:22 AM Program Halted. Database error: 3343 Unrecognized database

After 30-40 iterations of these messges NotePage resumes paging as though it finally corrected the problem it found. We have not changed the code that populates the message table directly and paging is working fine right now. Any idea what happened?

Also, is there any way to interrupt a page in progress? Occasionally, dispatchers send a page to the wrong recipient and need to terminate it after the modem has started dialing the carrier #.

There is really no way to tell what was causing the issue with the
database.

Once a message is in the process of being delivered, there is no way to cancel it.
