Is notepage capable of splitting a message that exceeds the maximum limt. I have a program that will do this now, just wondering if it is possible.

Yes.

PageGate will allow a long message, but will break it down into smaller sized message "blocks" (per the value entered into the "Max Chars" field in the Carrier settings).

PageGate TRUNCATES messages for each Recipient, based on the value found in the "Max Chars" field in the Recipient's settings.

Increase the Recipient's "Max Chars" setting. That will allow the Recipient to receive longer messages (up to that character count).

Longer messages will be split into multiple smaller "messages", based on the "Max Chars" setting for the Recipient's Carrier. This generally defaults to "240". Some Carriers may only allow "230", "160" or "120", depending on the protocol.

To add to TechSupports reply - when the recipient receives the message - it will be prefixed with an indicator so they know that there is a longer message

EXAMPLE:
(1 of 3)This is a test message to show that PageGate is
(2 of 3)capable of truncating messages that are longer th
(3 of 3)an what the carrier will allow for an individual message

OK, I have them set to 240 but when i send a page longer than that it will cut off the rest of the message, past 240, and willnot send another page. Is it supposed to resend the rest of the message?

Set the Recipient's "Max Chars" to 500.

Set the Carrier "Max Chars" to 240.

PageGate will break the message into three seperate messages, 240 + 240 + 20 (=500)
