We have a group of users who have both pagers and Nextel phones. They would like for us to send messages to both devices. The majority of our pages are sent from the GUI client. Is there a way to configure the users to receive messages on more than one device without setting up a number of new groups? I am trying to make this as transparent as possible with my users who will be sending pages.

Easiest way is to set up a group for each recipient, which I realize you don't really want to do.

There is one other possible option. If you own the GetMail interface, you can setup a 'forward to' email address for each recipient. PageGate will email a copy of the message to that address whenever a message is sent out normally. It would also require that the second device can accept emails.

Unfortunately, I do not own the GetMail interface. That is why I haven't used the Multi Page recipient. Maybe support for multiple devices is something that the developers can be considering for future releases?

In the same vein - we use the "display group" methodology to accomplish what you need. For example: When I get paged by the system, the person sending the message only sees a single entry for my name. The name displayed to the client us my group. I have 7 individual recipients set up (numerous phones, pagers, and e-mails) and each recipient is a member of my group. When the user types the message and hits SEND, Pagegate sends a copy of the message to each group. The Client is locked to the display group and only my personal group is a member of the display group - not the individual recipient devices.
