Please see attached log from dialler 1 below. Why is PageGate resetting the modem immediately after commencing dialling the carrier. Dial 11:57:15AM. Reset Modem 11:57:17 AM. Then while waiting for connection at 11:57:26AM, it starts attempting to hang up modem, and then claims modem is hung up at 11:57:29AM, but 2 seconds later at 11:57:31AM it says connected to carrier. Why was PageGate trying to (obviously unsuccessfully) hang up the modem in the middle of trying to connect to the carrier?

Currently, there is not enough information in the log. Please follow the directions below to turn on debugging.
Once debugging is on, send a message. When the issue is duplicated, post the connection attempt on the forum.
Also post what type of modem (maker, model, internal/external?) and which OS PageGate is running on.
1.) Create a text file in the same directory as PageGate's database file "pagegate.mdb" (the default directory is "C:\Program Files\PageGate").
2.) Rename the file to "modem.dbg".
When you change the file name and extension, Windows should warn you about making the file unusable.
3.) Select "Yes".
4.) Stop PageGate.
5.) Restart PageGate.
Your Dialers and Interfaces will see the file (which acts as a flag) and will write detailed debugging information to the logs.
We recommend increasing the log size ('Logging' - 'Settings' - 'Max Log Length') to accommodate the increase in information being written to your logs. |
