Hello, we are running PageGate using the getAscii module, and a dedicated line to our paging carrier (Metrocall). What is happening is that every time a page is sent to our carrier I get a log entry in my system event logs:

The PageGate Dialer2 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 10 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.

Also, I get a corresponding log entry in the application logs that says the PGDial2 service was started.

Is this normal behavior?

Dana

Is Dialer 2 set to run ("Program" - "Settings" - "Run on This Server")?

Are you licensed for multiple Dialers?

What do you have for Dialer 2 settings?

What do you have for Dialer 1 settings?

How many Carriers do you have listed in PageGate Admin?

Actually, all 4 of my dialers are returning those messages.

Yes I am licensed for 4 dialers.

Dialer 1 is used for smtp pages only so it's settings are default.

Dialer 2 is used for a dedicated line. It's settings are:
init string: (auto)
Dialing Prefix: blank
Dedicated Carrier: Metrocall-TAP (our carrier)
Serial Port: 1
Direct Connect: checked
