no alerts after upgrading to solwarwinds 2025.2

Been using NPP for over a decade. works great.

Immediately after upgrading solarwinds from 2022.? to 2025.4 pages stopped working.

Nothing shows up in the NPP queue when a page alert is triggered in Solarwinds.


I know NPP works because I can create manual messages and they are delivered.

of course Solarwinds is very awkwardly blaming NPP for the failure. But Im sure NPP is fine since the fail started immediately after upgrading solarwinds.

Let's run a manual simulation of what Solarwinds is supposed to be doing when it executes those trigger actions. Here's how:

PageGate's GetAscii interface provides a CLI (which is what Solarwinds uses) that needs the following syntax:
<path to executable>\sendpage32.exe <recipient> <sender> <message>

For example, let's say we have PageGate's GetAscii interface configured to reference c:\PageGateData\Solarwinds\ and that we wanted to send a message to a recipient named roy.urick from the sender SW-testing and the message should say CLI test - this is what you would issue in a Windows 'Run' Prompt:

c:\PageGateData\Solarwinds\sendpage32.exe roy.urick SW-testing CLI test

Of course, replace roy.urick with whatever recipient or group name you want to message.
