|
|
It appears an update to Windows 11 is now causing problems installing the PageGate v10 GUI client.
The following error shows when attempting installation:
C:\Windows\system32\msjtes40.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x5.
Is there any known fix to this? I have a number of GUI clients to update to v10 and can't successfully automate this process while the installer is returning the error.

Hi Mark,
We have run into that issue with the Windows update. Running manually you can just choose to Ignore the message, and things work fine.
However, I see you are trying to do a silent/automated install.
Are you using the /silent or the /verysilent command line option?

| I'm using the /verysilent option and it opens a window to display the error.

Hi Mark,
I was afraid of that. Sorry about the issue. I will work with our development team to find a solution. Are you running PageGate version 10?

I've tested the new pgcsetup.exe file and it is working well. A silent installation now completes successfully on Win 11 with no error shown.
Thanks again for your quick response to resolving this issue.

Hi Mark,
Glad that worked for you, and thanks for the update.
