Hello, I need to see if there’s a way to omit a page with a specific phrase from being sent in pagegate? Our dispatch software automatically sends out a message with "CANCEL" in it... and we don't want that message to be sent out.

Is this possible?
I have screen shots available if needed.

PG Version 8.4.3
Recipient = apwnotify

Yes it is possible depending on the interfaces you have licensed. What method is your CAD using to "push" messages into PageGate (TAP, SNPP, ASCII, Direct Database Integration, SMTP, etc)?

We're using ASCII
ONESolution CAD (CentralSquare)

OK - your Central Square CAD (formerly HTE/TriTech/Sunguard) is writing a file for each message to be "paged". Your PageGate's getASCII module is watching that file location and picking up every message created for processing.

You can configure the optional FilterPack module to dynamically modify the contents of that message (example - when it sees the word CANCEL in a specific spot, then change the destination to an archive file and NOT transmit to other recipients)

Unless, of course, I misunderstood your request. If you are asking for a message that is already in the OUTBOUND message queue to be DELETED from the ist if a CANCEL message comes through - that is a but more difficult since PageGate processes them so fast. It is likely the message is already gone and delivered before the CANCEL order is sent from CAD

Thanks. I'll look into the FilterPack module. That seams to be the solution I'm looking for.

Thanks again :D
