I had installed NotePager Pro v3.0 on WIN 2008 R2.
Right now, I am migrating to a new window server (WIN 2016).

Is it possible to transfer the license from the old one to the new one?

It is possible to transfer the license between systems but we would definitely recommend that you upgrade to NotePager Pro version 5 as part of the transfer as version 3 has some pretty serious stability issues on Server 2016.

To upgrade your license, you'll want to contact our sales department (https://www.notepage.net/contact.htm), let them know your serial number and they'll provide an upgrade quote. You can also order the upgrade online here: https://store.notepage.net/purchase/#/notepager-pro-upgrade

After upgrading your license, you'll want to download and install NotePager Pro version 5 on the new Server 2016 system.

Then you'll want to make a copy of the old version 3 system's database (npp.mdb, which is located in the NotePager Pro program directory).

Run NotePager Pro version 5 and click 'Continue', then go to Help - Folders.

Make a note of the 'Global Database' folder, then close the program.

Copy the NPPv3 database in to the NPPv5 Global Database folder and overwrite the existing file.

The next time you run NPPv5 on the new system, it will upgrade all of the old NPPv3 data and prompt you for your version 5 registration key.

After applying the version 5 registration key, you should be good to go but if you need any assistance or further information, let us know and we'll be happy to assist.
