Also User B, after successful start of NotePagePro, can't export configuration data (carriers, recipients, groups,...) to the text file: in all cases but "Export Group Members" success is reported but no file created on the disk.

The error you're receiving indicates that there's an error in the messages table of the database. If you would, please send us a copy of the database so we can fix it and send it back to you. Here's how:
1) Open NotePager Pro.
2) Go to Help - Folders.
3) Make a note of the Global Database folder (by default, the path is C:\ProgramData\NotePage\NotePager Pro\5.0)
4) Please email a copy of the file npp.mdb in the folder you noted in step 3 to support at notepage dot com |

Everything that's important to the program lives in the database. Your carriers, recipients, groups, registration and history of messages are contained in the program's global database. |

What about logs? Are they also stored in the database?
How many items (say logs or messages) can be stored in the database?

The logs aren't stored in the database, they're written out to a separate file (npp.log) contained in the same folder as the program's global database.
As for how many items, that varies. In your copy of NotePager Pro, go to Tools - Settings - General and you'll see a "Purge after" value. That's the number of days NotePager Pro will keep messages in the database before purging old messages out. This field can be set to a maximum value of 365.
With regards to the logs, the "Max Log Length" determines how large the log file can be (in bytes) before purging old information out. |

Can I simply re-initialize the database (so I lost history of send SMS but get program stable again)? How to perform that?
Can I export important data (settings) from database with some external tool? NotePage Pro refuses to write files to disk during export of Carriers, Recipients, etc. I mean: export dialog says "OK" but I can't see file in the directory I pointed to in export dialog. So if I could open database with some external tool and export those values it would save me some hours of stupid, repetitive work ;-)

The export issue doesn't really have anything to do with the database issue, though. With regards to the export issue, if it says "OK" but never outputs a file, the only times I've seen that happen is when the UAC in Windows prevents the file from being written. I'd recommend creating a directory like c:\temp\ or c:\export\ or something like that (or even create it on your desktop) and attempt to export to that folder directly.
With regards to the database issue, you could try to open the database in Microsoft Access, then do a "Compact and Repair" on it it to try to fix the broken bookmark referenced by the error. |
