Our organization has implemented the following environment.
All Windows 200 Service Pack 3 servers.

One Single Page Gate server
Muliple Citrix XPe servers.

The PageGate Client application has successfully been utilized to offer up Page Gate Client to multiple users with the application redirected to the PageGate server.

Problem: The Sender's Name (%userid%) for the PageGate Client is now defaulted to the installer's UserID.

Question: How can the application be configured to pick up the %userid% of the user who authenticates to the network to run the application?

If you start up the PageGate client as one of those users, and then go to 'File' -> 'Setup', what is in the 'Sender's Name' field?

Try putting %LoginName% into the Sender's Name field.

Completed that.

Now the Sender's Name appears as %LoginName% when other users are RDP'd or as a Blank ICA into the server.

Can you go into Windows Explorer (the file explorer) and check the properties of the PageGate Client executable (pgc.exe)? What version does it say you are running?

Also, double check the typing in the Sender's Name field. Make sure there are no spaces (before, inside, or after) the %LoginName% string.

the PGC version is 4.0.0.6

I am using the %LoginName% just as you would in a cmd file or a kixscript. However system (set) variables in Win2K server do not capture LoginName, it does capture and retain UserName.

I would like to clarify an assumption of mine from a couple of posts back.

When you said "Now the Sender's Name appears as %LoginName% when other users are RDP'd or as a Blank ICA into the server.", did you mean that %LoginName% is showing up on the setup screen, or it is being delivered to the pagers/phones as the sender's name?

Not a real name, litterally as %LoginName%. %LoginName% will appear in the text of the page.

Thanks for the clarification.

I have been unable to reproduce that behavior here. Can you please download the latest PageGate evaluation version from our website, and install the newer client (4.0.8) over your existing client. I want to make sure that we aren't trying to solve a problem that was already taken care of before we start digging deeper.
