|
|
Hi all,
We have a modem used with solarwinds, with the sole purpose of sending SMS alerts. Solarwinds has a function to pass the alerts via ascii, page note polls the folder and sends the SMS.
Our modem got powered down on Saturday and since rebooting it, the PG monitor does not appear to show the connector or ascii as connected.
Ive tested the modem directly via putty and sent a test message to my mobile.
the GetAscii service is showing as running in PGAdmin.
The GetConnector service is showing as running in PGAdmin.
In PG monitor, for both of the above services im seeing a 0 value for Good and Bad.
Log for the Ascii, appears ok:
25/11/2015 08:32:00 Log ping...
25/11/2015 09:32:00 Log ping...
25/11/2015 09:41:35 Module Stopped
25/11/2015 09:42:13 Module Started (v7.0.20)
25/11/2015 09:42:15 Time synchronized with scheduler
25/11/2015 10:07:59 Log ping...
Log for the Connector this morning, appears OK:
25/11/2015 00:00:15 Running cleanup routine
25/11/2015 00:00:15 Module Stopped
25/11/2015 00:00:26 Module Started (v7.0.20)
25/11/2015 00:00:27 Time synchronized with scheduler
25/11/2015 09:41:33 Module Stopped
25/11/2015 09:42:14 Module Started (v7.0.20)
25/11/2015 09:42:15 Time synchronized with scheduler
In short my issue is, why is the monitor showing the connector and ascii as 0? These should surely always be set as 1? I have no way of identifying if the sms alerts are actually working or creating a false alert...
Any help or assistance would be great.
Many thanks,
Nick.

Nick,
The Good/Bad columns start at 0 every time you close and re-open the program and the PG Monitor shows you what's happening as it's happening for as long as you've had the Monitor running. |
