We have been using the SMTP protocol for Verizon with the 10 digit number@vtext.com. It worked great until a week ago and now all the Verizon members in our system get rejected. Did Verizon change something? Anyone have any ideas or a workaround?

This may sound like a bit of a random question but by chance are you on Charter Internet for your Internet Service? |

If you would, run this test for me:
1) In Windows, run a Command Prompt.
2) In the Command Prompt, type the following and hit enter:
telnet smtp-bb.vtext.com 25
Let me know what the response is, please. |

'telnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Ah, we need to enable the telnet client:
1) In Windows, go in to the Control Panel.
2) Open Programs and Features.
3) On the left hand side, click on "Turn Windows Features on/off"
4) Put a check in Telnet Client.
5) Click on Install or OK.
After the Telnet Client is enabled, re-run the test, please. |

Interesting, that response means the messages should be going through. If you would, verify PageGate's DNS settings against the OS:
1) In Windows, go in to the Control Panel.
2) In the Control Panel, go in to Network and Sharing.
3) On the left hand side, click on "Change adapter settings"
4) Right click on Local Area Connection, left click on Status.
5) Click on Details.
6) Write down what it reports the DNS Servers are.
7) Open the PG Admin.
8) Go to Connectors - Global - SMTP.
9) Make sure that DNS 1 and DNS 2 match what you wrote down in Step 6. |

That was the problem. For some reason it had bad IP addresses in the settings
