Has anyone successfully got pagegate running in Australia using SMTP, WCTP or SNPP? Our phones are running on the optus network and I was trying to set up the smtp connection to them using phonenumber@optusmobile.com.au which was not going through. I have contacted them and it seems they have removed the service....

We have customers in your country successfully using PageGate with cellular modems which allow for MO/MT (mobile originated/mobile terminated) SMS messaging

I would recommend following OzCom's recommendation. Unfortunately, most Australian carriers have decommissioned most of their internet based hosts for SNPP, WCTP and SMTP. As far as I'm aware, the only method to send messages from an external system (like a server on your network) is to use a Cellular Modem in conjunction with PageGate.

Unfortuantly we were trying to avoid using a cellular modem as we are running a virtual server environment.
