Yes, with NotePager Pro, you can send SMS through a USB connected cell phone.
The cell phone needs to support the GSM's AT Commands.

As long as the following conditions are met:
1) The PC running PageGate (or NotePager Pro) MUST be able to connect with the device through the COM port
2) The Cell phone MUST be able to accept "AT" commands through the COM port
Additionally: Consumer cellular phones are not designed to be plugged in 24/7/365

| There is not a list that I know of. Which cell phone carrier does the phone use.

It is on AT&T.
What is the suggested way of sending sms with no internet access?
Thanks for the responses. trying to fill a need for the managers.

1) PageGate integrates with Solarwinds
2) The cellular modem we use is available as RS-232 Serial or USB connection. It is roughly 4" by 2" by 3"
