|
|
I have a brand new Windows 7 machine, 64 bit. I attempted to re-install the Pagegate Admin software onto this system and I get a failure on initializing the program every time. It's looking for the SDCAdvancedWebPlayback software.
I had another system before this with Windows 7 64 bit, and it never complained about this.

That's... odd. I don't know what SDCAdvancedWebPlayback is and as far as I know, it has nothing to do with our software. What specific error are you seeing, what does it say and when are you seeing it? |

It comes up every time I execute the program, and only this program. Not an error but looking for this file.

Yes but what comes up? Is it a prompt that's asking for the SDCAdvancedWebPlayback.exe file? Or some other prompt? |

That has nothing to do with PageGate - it appears to be a plugin from Lattice, Incorporated - it may be a leftover from a previous audio installation that may not have been properly uninstalled_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

No understand what you are saying but this only happens when I run Pagegate Admin. If I uninstall it, this never appears again. There are no uninstalls happening except for PageAdmin.

What's likely happening is the PageGate Admin installation is referencing a DLL or OCX and the install or uninstall routine of whatever this SDCAdvancedWebPlayback thing is left some sort of routine in place that every time the DLL is accessed, Windows seems to think that it needs to run it. Unfortunately, since SDCAdvancedWebPlayback doesn't have anything to do with our software and I'm completely unfamiliar with it, I don't know if we can be much direct help. I'd recommend trying to remove references to SDCAdvancedWebPlayback from the registry, if it isn't a program you use. |
