This past week something has changed when using the Notepager Pro program our receipients are getting messages "From: 777-264-xxxxxx" this changes for every message sent and from each computer.
Previously it came from an unknown address. For the recipients the unkown address identified the message coming from the answering service. Now with every computer sending the message their messages are received on all individual strings so there's no continuity on their end.
Is there a way to "label" all messages coming from us specifically, without using a signature at the end. It needs to be initially so all our messages are in order or strung together.

We send to multiple carriers, but the Verizon phones are the only ones we are having trouble with.

Verizon has recently made a change to their gateways and, unfortunately, that 777XXXXXXXXX number is a message tracking ID number prepended by the carrier. There isn't anything you can directly do in NotePager Pro because NotePager Pro isn't passing that information, it's being added by the carrier after the terminal receives the message. |

OzCom - we use the TAP protocol.
Do you think Verizon would be able to do anything about it. I have lots of customers and hundreds of recipients, would Notepager be unusable?

It's possible. I'd recommend contacting Verizon's EMAG system here: https://enterprisemessaging.vzw.com/customer_site/jsp/messaging_lo.jsp
The EMAG gateways don't have this ID assigned to their messages and is a good alternative to the standard gateways if you're affiliated with Emergency Management (which get access to that gateway for free) or are willing to pay the contact costs to use their EMAG system. |
