|
|
I work for a clinic that is interested in utilizing Note Pager Pro for patient appointment reminders. Following my examination of Note Pager Pro, it does not appear suited for such a use. I would like to know if Note Pager Pro is practical for reminding patients of their appointments via text messaging? Thanks.

NotePager Pro can be used to send out text messages to remind patients of their appointments.
Is there anything specific that does not appear suitable?

PageGate may be a better package - much better suited to volume messaging and has an auto schedule built in_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

PageGate may be a better option. How many computers would you want to use the software on, and approximately how many patients would you be sending messages to at any given time?

We would need it on two (laptop) computers and we would need to schedule the reminders to go out the day prior to appointment date. On average, there are 15-20 patients scheduled each day.
If I use Note Pager Pro, (or Page Gate), to send text messages to patients, do I need to know each patient's cell phone provider as well as their phone number?

If you use NotePager Pro - you will need to duplicate the entries over each machine. NotePager Pro is a stand alone product. With NotePager Pro, you WILL also need to know the recipient's wireless carrier.
PageGate, on the other hand, is a client/server package whereby you can have MANY PC's using the same database. With the Cellular Modem option, you need only know the 10 digit cellular number._________________ Aaron D. Osgood

For two computers, NotePager Pro with 2 Licenses would be suitable for schedule messages for 15-20 patients each day, and sending text messages to your staff's cell phones. PageGate has a central database, and is used with network computers.
Whenever sending messages from your computer with an internet connection, you need to know each patient's cell phone provider as well as their phone number.
When sending messages from a computer with a cellular modem, a text messaging plan and service is needed from a cell phone provider. The cellular modem must support the GSM's AT Commands.
