Hi,
I´m running a trial version of the latest Pagegate as a test. We are looking to use Pagegate in our production enviroment with Solarwinds products.
I have Pagegate installed on a HP Proliant server with 2008 R2 standard installed.
I´m using a Huawei E173 modem on Com11.
When i try to start Connector1 I get the following error from the log:
Program Halted. Database error: 3219 Invalid operation. in Procedure: SendToModem
Do you have any suggestions?
Regards
Dennis Ladefoged

That error is indicating that the program can't communicate with the modem on the COM port you have specified. So, the first thing you want to do is go in to the Control Panel in Windows and go in to the Phone and Modem options. Then go under the Modems tab and find out what COM port the modem has been assigned. Once you have the COM port, go in to the PageGate Admin and go in to the Connectors - Connector 1 - Settings section. Match the "Serial Port" field to the COM port that the modem has been assigned.
If that doesn't work, let us know. |

Hi,
I have the same issue trying PageGate for Solarwinds notification.
I have a Nokia GSM modem on Com3 but I'm seeing "Program Halted. Database Error: 3219 Invalid Operation. in Procedure: SendToModem." in the log file
Is there anything to else to try, I have connector1 set to use com3
Thanks
Gareth

Gareth,
If you would, please email the .log files from the c:\pagegatedata\logs\ to support at notepage dot com so I can see everything in context. I think I know what the issue is but I want to verify it with the logs. |

I am having the same issue with the error. My Orion server is running Windows 2008 R2 and the PageGate host is running Windows 7. I use Com2 and when I use the GUI the message work. However, when I try to send from either host using the GetAscii interface it fails and it does not show up the logs. I need some troubleshooting tips on this one.
Checked both the Admin screen for Com2 and the Windows Control Panel.
Checked that there is no permissions issue on my network share.
Deleted and recreated the files with the network share.

Wait, are you getting the 3219 error that this thread was originally based on? If so, is it only showing up if you pass a message over from Orion?
Also, if the messages are never making it past the GetAscii module, where are you seeing the 3219?
If you would, please email the .log files from the c:\pagegatedata\logs\ to support at notepage dot com so I can see everything in context. |

The error shows up in the GetAscii monitor.

Barry,
Based on the logs that you sent, you're seeing a 3219 invalid operation in procedure check_for_messages, not the 3219 invalid operation in procedure SendToModem that this thread was originally created on.
The 3219 error you're receiving is indicating that whatever directory you have specified in the Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings section of the PG Admin either doesn't exist or the program can't access it due to a permissions issue. So, what directory do you currently have specified in the Interfaces - GetAscii - Settings? |
