| Our system writing files is including an end of line designation as "<28>" without the quotes. Is there any way for GetAscii to delete or replace with a space the <28>?

In the GetAscii - Settings - Advanced Polling - Message section, you can use the Lookup Table to do a search and replace. You would use this:
Data In: \028
Data Out: |

\028 is the correct ascii code, but doing the below didn't work. I restarted the GetAscii and it still wasn't working, so I rebooted the server and it still is not replacing the File Separator character.
I also tried just copying and pasting the actual character, but that did not work either.
Next I tried using the lookup table to double the colon (:) just to see if that worked. It did not. So, it seems the lookup is not working even though the box is checked.
I am checking the pages in the log once they show succesful to determine if the changes were made, not actual pages.
Any other ideas?
