We are running 5.0.95 and have a CAD system that sends the pages to pagegate via tap. We recently moved to a different piece of hardware and OS. The original OS was Windows 2000 and the new OS is Win 7. We rarely had any issues on the older OS.

The issue that we are seeing now is that the getTap module seems to stall out or stop responding. I can see in the logs where it just stops logging. The PageGate monitor shows the getTap as red. We only have to stop the getTap service and it restarts itself and then accepts the incoming communication. Unfortunatly there is no consistant timing or offending page that causes it to stop responding. I have had stall out in as little as a couple of hours or last as long as 5 days.

Has anyone else run into this issue, or had issues with PageGate on Windows 7. I thought maybe it was the serial port going to sleep, but have disabled all power management, and can talk to the serial port with hyperterm even when getTap is no longer responding.

Thanx in advance for any help

When you installed PageGate, did you use the Windows 7 instructions involving authorizing the program with the UAC?

If you would, please email all of the C:\pagegatedata\logs\*.log files as well as the Windows Event Viewer Application and System logs to support at notepage dot com so we can start to cross-reference everything and find out why this is happening.
