Is it possible to use either of these phones to send text through tap?

I have two phones. A Motorolla Droid X2 through Verizon and a Samsung Dart through T-mobile. The Motorolla shows up under com3 in windows. The Samsung as NDIS in device manager.

The Verizon phone seems to want to work, but can't connect to the carrier while sending text. I haven't yet figured out the T-mobile.

Through TAP? No, neither of those devices can function (as far as I'm aware) as a dial-up modem, which is what the TAP protocol requires. You might be able to use the GSM-AT protocol, though, to send SMS directly from the devices. Reconfigure the carrier for GSM-AT and let's see what happens.

Thank you very much. This enabled the use of the droid X2.

Tap went way over my head.
