|
|
Has anyone used PageGate with Intergraph CAD's I/Page Module. We are interested in using them together to send messages to Fire Units when they are dispatched. Just curious if you have got them working together, how does it work, ups, downs etc!!
Thanks for any information.

Dan,
We do have clients integrating Intergraph's CAD system with PageGate. In the other configurations, this is done with the GetTAP module. The CAD system connects to the PageGate PC by direct serial cable and PageGate's GetTAP module monitors that serial port for incoming TAP sessions. Once it receives them, it translates them in to outbound messages to the recipient, recipients, group or groups referenced by the CAD. |

That is great! I am very interested in getting this up and running here. I have read through some of the documentation but this is going into areas that I'm not familiar with. Is this something I can contact Support for?

Dan - is this going onto SVAPPS 24 or SVAPPS 25?
Also: The getTAP module is an option ($200.00) and you'll need a NULL modem serial cable for direct connect.
Alternatively, an analog modem and phone line. Intergraph will dial this modem's extension and THINK it is talking with a Paging Terminal.
Direct connect is MUCH faster since there is no need to go through the call set up / tear down routine_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

This will be connecting to SVAPPS24 and I've already got the GetTAP module. According to the I/Page instructions it can use TAP or SNPP2 to send the information to the server, I'm still looking at that to see what I can do and what I will need.

Cool
SNPP means you do not need the cable or modem - BUT - you do need the optional SNPPServer module.
Let me know when you want to configure the getTAP for testing_________________ Aaron D. Osgood

Awesome, let me get with the CAD folks tomorrow and see where they stand with the test install and I will get back with you. Not sure how soon it will be we are coming up on the Kentucky Derby events here and we have a lot of stuff to prepare for that, I will let you know off line.
