Does anyone know if there is a limit to recipients that can be in a group for group paging? We have recently created groups and can no longer use them and don't know why. We are still on version 4.0 and trying to upgrade to version 5 but the differences with the look of logging in and display groups are big for us and we have to test the new version first.

Thanks

Deb

Deb,

There aren't any limitations that I know of. When you say that you have created groups but can't use them, can you be a little more specific as to what you're seeing?

Someone on a pc with the client sends a group page and the pages just don't go through. When you page a person individually, the pages go through fine.
What I did was add a group called all Physical_Therapy_Deptment and added groups called All_PT_Aides, all_Pt_asst_pch, all_occ_therapists_pch, all_pts_med_surg, all_pts_ortho, all_pts_pch and All_speech_therapists_pch. Within that group I added the individual recipients so they would have a choice to print the entire group OR the individual person. When paging the groups, the pages come back bad and never send the page. I have reinstalled the clients still no help

Can you email us the log files from the c:\program files\pagegate\ directory to support at notepage dot com? Specifically, any of the pgdialX.log files (pgdial1.log, pgdial2.log, etc)

Is this from each of the client workstations or server?

The log files can be found in the c:\program files\pagegate\ directory on the server.

You mentioned differences in logging in between v4 and v5 - what differences? While there are some major structural changes in the underlying code, the user experience has not changed.
